This is a photograph of Donald J. Parker, born in 1976, son of Robert E. Parker. He graduated from the University of Georgia and later from Michigan State University School of Law. Mr. Parker served the community for many years as Chairman of the Livingston County Board of Commissioners.

The Dowen-Town Youth Center was a Children's Apparel and Furniture Store, at 102 West Grand River Avenue, Howell, Michigan, on the northwest corner of Michigan Avenue and Grand River Avenue. This location also was home , at one time, to Itsell's Clothier, McPherson Bank and Yax Jewelers.
The store was operating during the years 1960 - 1962, and was owned by Les Dowen.
