  • Katherine "Kittie" Grieve (1836-1880)

    Katherine "Kittie" Grieve (1836-1880) never married. She was a well-loved teacher in Livingston County, Michigan for many years.
  • Henry Dudley Grieve (1838-1915)

    Henry Dudley Grieve (1838-1915) was the only son of James and Harriet Grieve. He married Phoebe Hemingway (1839-1927). They lived most of their lives as farmers in Unadilla Township, Michigan.

  • Sylvester Topping (1848-1931)

    Harriet Grieve (1845-1933) married Sylvester Topping (1848-1931). He ran a general store and sawmill in Plainfield. The sawmill went up in flames one day, which was the first fire the town's new fire engine was put to use on. They owned a large house in Plainfield. Sylvester tragically committed suicide, hanging himself in the barn in February 1932. For many years he was the local postmaster. Also organist for the church choir.

    Mary Grieve (1842-1900) married Edwin Chipman (1846-1916). They lived in Gregory, Livingston County, Michigan. Edwin and son Ralph had a shop where thy made crates. Ed was tall and slender with a very lovely personality; died of cancer.
